What is the training programme?
The programme is “on the job” training to become community researchers. You will learn about:
- research ethics and safeguarding
- how to collect data
- how to analyse data
- how to present findings
At the same time, you will be supported to carry out your own individual research projects:
- decide what you want to find out about
- carry out data collection e.g. interviews, questionnaires, photo diaries
- analyse and come up with findings
At the end, we organise a day-long workshop:
- we invite community and academic researchers, service providers, and local decision/policymakers relevant to community food
- you will be fully supported to share your recommendations from your research
- together we co-design small interventions and actions are agreed by everyone
